how did this start
the you and me
evolving into us
was it the smile
that lit your eyes
when i first saw you
across the room
or the way your lips turned up
as you finally spoke to me
maybe it began at the
trickle of your laughter
tickling a seed inside
making it want more
perhaps it was
your sense of humor
the first time
you made me laugh
when did i first
want to cry
for want of your touch

when did we start

was it in a moment
that the sparks evolved
and grew into a flame
in a moment we touched
making time explode
into eternity
in a moment that left me lost
in you forever

when we began
is unimportant
that we will never end
