we are the light
in the dark
nightlite to kids
for sleep will come

still we will shine
our lucidity burnin
in phrase of flowing
the ever present voices

we give up to the sins
alcohol invited expansions
maddening most to digress
others to sit down on dirt

earth our field of dreams
i hear her calls and
i answer with what i have
my voice and my words
