Parentage

Do they see me now as I speak
Can feel the rapturous wavering of my speech
Can they feel all my intention that I carry
Belongs to them and they are the ones
That I crusade forward to the promised land
Can they feel me
Can they see me
I wonder these things in the night

They loved me so well as I suppose was
All the best that they could
And they did that
They gave me the reason in my brain
The detriment that carries sarcasm
And love in my belly

Outside tonight the trees were winding down
They were all signaling the end of the day
And they told me that I needn’t worry
That there was a tomorrow on my schedule
That I would find it intriguing
And not need give up all my fighting

They were there and they were amongst the breeze
Their breath blew the mighty
Making trees bow in my mind
I knew that it was them
And I knew they were there

They saw me as I always wanted
As I always knew myself
As I had created and climbed outdoor
No ending going through the front door
They welcomed and called to me
They were there and they saw me
They were and they always will be
The stance they stood
The standing penitence refrained
They were there
They loved me
