truth is

speak your words upon willing ears
as you learn to prefer to listen
it’s one of truth’s ironic lessons
that when spoken of
leads you in the opposite direction and
truth is
no one’s listening
so you look harder with your eyes
in an attempt to discect your environment and
everyone in it
you consume what you can
but cannot digest it
then
quickly lose interest
along with your sight and
it is then and
only then that you realize
no one could have told you
it is only through direct experience and
with your heart listening
finding the sound to be much more clear
but harder to discern
than that of your ears and
it with it’s ability to filter things
but at the heart of it
you may only hear it beating
do not be confused
it is this simple pulse
that you will find the voice of truth
