It will SO inspire you…there are many clubs and coffee houses that do live poetry readings, along with Jazz and slams….pick up a SFweekly, its free…and they should have them in the bus depot at Fifth street. Even the Examiner and the big paper have gigs listed in the Datebook section…Lots of small bookstores also do readings, book opens, live poetry…very AWESOME place for being a poet or writer!!!
