give me some good morning jazz,
the sweet seeping of sun beneath the shade
not yet pulled up, my arms wrapped ’round
the sound of my lover’s breathing, his head
on my breast while the rest of the world
outside rides the wind of doubt,
our fusion no illusion
while our hearts are inside out
with the rhythm of Love, our beats one
like the thunder and down under the sheets
we play the repeats of silkened skin brushed
with a whoosh on a tophat, so slow so easy
as the truth of music dawns on us,
dew glistening
as we lie listening
to heaven crack the sky wide open,
lightning illuminating our stage, waging
bets with never-forgets, such-as and where-as
and razzamatazz, the rise
of sunlight right on time with the size
of two hearts combined, the shine of hope
so blinding there ain’t no comparison,
the glare of sun still peaking,
no speaking
no need,
oh baby
my god
the seed
the pleading
of heaven,
the oh my god
the music, the phrasing,
the grazing of fingers playing
notes while we sing a little scat
with a rattatat tat of a sigh
eye to eye oh my god my god
my god we got the right pizzazz
this is good morning jazz
this is good morning jazz
this is good
morning
jazz!!
