.. inside out..

so awesome your heart,
so a part of ours,
beat complete in a tight treat
of your verse’s hold,
controlled like a wave of pen
in a tide tied ride of a whole gift,
my eyes sifting your thoughts like sand
through a glass tight in the middle
opening up wide at the top and below
the center show, main stage opening number,
dumber than a silent night i make my way to say
that’s right while lying on the plain truth
of youthful poppies, eyes blinking to avoid
the void of nothing much, seeing the scenes
of all too much, candles lighted
nothing copyrighted
but my heart
and you are a part
of it as i sit and read
your freed and gentle soul
upon this page
and all you tell

the only rage i’ve known
is how the sparrows
lost their home
by trying once again
to nest

oh god i am so blessed
by phrases penned by you!
your poetry is sanity
seeping through!
