you travelled half the distance every time you measured your progress?

ANSWER:

You would never get there. Say you travelled 10 miles, then 5 miles, then 2 1/2 miles, finally down to 1 foot, then six inches, then 3 inches, 1 1/2 inches, then half of that, then half of that, and no matter how many times you measured your distance, you can always divided any fraction by half, like a 16th of an inch, one 32nd of an inch, one 64th of an inch, one 128th of an inch, and on and on . . .
