you make little cherry bombs

the voice came through clearly.
It was a smokey voice from an old man with a Spanish accent.

“Ok”, he said to the witness, “Now that you have heard this tape, can you tell me who this voice is? Do you KNOW this voice? Do you remember this voice? Or are you going to claim that you don’t remember again? Shall I play this for you one more time? “

“Before you answer,” he continued, “Keep in mind that my next line of questioning will be directed to the effect of cherry bombs in the subway system and the ‘i love you for it’ grafitti in blood red on the walls underground”

“Who was the voice?”, he asked pointedly, smiling ear to ear. The jury members leaned forward in their chairs, ears sticking out for an answer, trying to determine if they’d ever get enough facts to come to a verdict.
