I read The Sun Also Rises like you suggested and i ENJOYED IT. I think i expected a more earth-shattering conclusion – it’s funny how sometimes i expect a “classic” to be more than it is. i mean, it’s a great book, i don’t know what i expected, but i think that because so many books, stories, and movies have copied Hemingway, his works seem familiar and not as profound as when they were written. I’m really glad I read it. Hemingway did indeed have a crisp, strong writing voice. I wish I could write like that!
