i really dont 100% understand what a guy would gain from it that a girl wouldn’t.
perhaps that is your answer?

i suppose the only point i can think of is that he is gay, so his books, especially naked lunch, is incredibly homoerotic, sometimes incredibly gratuitous. however, this shouldnt exclude the female reader because essentially he is exploring the inner sexual state and gross manifestation of himself. sure you cant relate to it, but you can enjoy and gain from reading it.

for example, i’m reading Pic at the moment, beautiful, all about a young black boy about to hit NY with his brother after livin down south. i cant relate his own experience at all, but it never stops you lovin it.
