so, i am required by litkicks law to write the official article about the litkicks/bongobeat wintertime poetry happening, and i’ll get around to that when i am at my own computer. whee.

but i did just want to give you a quick glimpse of what the evening was like:

met at the club. and then david amram showed up. we came up with some sort of game plan, and then suddenly the thing started. the litkickers who read all performed admirably (especially that jamelah chick. she rocks. heh.) and there was just such a community spirit… everybody was having fun, either reading their work, or singing their songs, or… whatever it was that they were doing.

and at the end, we all got up on stage and sang a song for jack kerouac.

then we went to a bar.

and, um…. yeah, that’s the quick version.

basically, it was a flurry of words and music. and then suddenly it was over. it was an amazing time.
