But seriously, here’s my theory.
In the old days, when man wanted to eat, he didn’t want to wait, he wanted it right then.

This relatively modern practice we have of making people wait for gifts, as if the anticipation is somehow good and joyful, is unnatural. What seems to be happiness is really anxiety. Sort of like being tickled to where you can’t stand it.
