further comments on the matter of translation

as some of you know, doreen and I have been creating midi music files that appear on our Listen & Look page. They are simply sound sketches.
These start out by being played on a cheesy little electronic keyboard. This keyboard has its own midi settings.
When we record this into the computer, the editing program has another group of midi settings so we have to translate the sounds.
Then we dump it as a dot mid to our hard drive and the settings are changed again. Then we have to make a Quicktime movie out of it and that makes different settings for the midi sounds.
In short, we don’t have a clue how it’s gonna sound after all those translations.
And there’s no telling what they sound like when uploaded to the web and then downloaded by whomever is trying to listen.

But we do the best we can with the materials at hand.

We just put some new selections up tonight
a study in 5/4 time by LR and some fractured Chopin by dp.

give some of them a listen at

Listen & Look

we would love to know what you are hearing because we aren’t in your house with your speakers

so let us know

lr & dp
