What are your thoughts on going to college to be a writer? I am currently attending college majoring in creative writing but I continue to have second thoughts regarding if this is my true path to becoming a better writer, or am I just assuring my financial security by attending school? I don’t want to teach I want to travel, live life to the fullest, and experience all that I can before it’s too late. Can someone relate to this and maybe shed some light? Do the majority of writers here have college degrees or have you taken the road less traveled? What do you do for money, surivial, etc with no college background. I have dropped out of school various times to go on the road and have always ended up back where I started. I feel restless, caged, too busy to do the things I rather be doing, on top of class assignments and job. What shall I do?
